Email and collaboration solution for 90 mailboxes sought

One of our major customers is a family business in the furniture industry and has the following challenge:

We run an Exchange Server 2016 on-premises, which receives emails via Hornet.

Our domains are hosted by IONOS.

  • 90 mailboxes

  • Must be manageable by us

  • 300 GB mailbox volume on our Exchange Server

  • We use secondary email addresses

  • We need to be able to set full access to mailboxes for proxy purposes

  • It must be compatible with Hornet Security

  • A central calendar would be important

  • Central address book

  • We could imagine the following mail clients:

  • Outlook Classic (365)

  • Thunderbird (if necessary)

  • Webmail (if necessary)

  • It would be absolutely desirable if Outlook (new), which comes standard with Windows 11 Pro, worked, as we have several workstations that only require email. Another aspect would be patch management for this version, as it's an integral part of Windows/Microsoft.

  • Collection of mails by both

  • IOS Mail

  • Android Mail

  • Possibly a proprietary product of the mail server manufacturer

  • Sending emails via Business Central must be possible.



We're completely open to any product, whether it's hosted on-premises or in the cloud. The implementation should be handled as a project, so we also need your support.
