Startup Q&A with Brain4Data

Startup Q&A with Brain4Data

As part of the series "Startup Q&A @co:hub66" we regularly present regional startups and give interested and future founders insights about individual success stories as well as "tips from founders for founders".

This week we asked David Seel from Brain4Data questionsabout founding and the success story of the Saarland-based startup.

Who are you?

We are Brain4Data, a company based in Saarwellingen. We were founded in 2018 and currently have six people on board.

We offer a digital assistant that simplifies communication processes in companies. It uses existing company data for an internal search engine, for example, with which authorized employees can "Google" required information in seconds.

It reports important business transactions and decision templates - precisely when an event occurs and action is required. The final decision, however, always remains with the human.

What problem are you trying to solve?

Basically, many companies today have more and more data, but the larger the company, the less individual employees have access to this data. As a result, people spend hours every day writing e-mails or making phone calls in order to obtain information.

Especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers, which is becoming an increasing problem in Germany, it is important to make processes as efficient as possible. There are statistics that show that employees spend an average of twelve hours a week gathering information that is actually available in the company.

What are your 3 most important company values?

  • Efficiency

  • Reliability

  • Enabling companies and their employees to make the best use of their resources.

What was the biggest mistake you have made so far?

So far we have (hopefully) not made any major mistakes (that we know of).

What advice would you give to other startups / What tip would you like to have received yourself?

Don't be unsettled! Believe in your vision and go your own way. Of course, it can't hurt to have a solid plan - but you can't prepare for all eventualities anyway.

Can you tell us about three other startups you find interesting that are definitely worth a look?

  • Hezo Sports

  • PXIO

  • Xpect AG

What is your vision for the next five years?

Oh, we have quite a few things planned. In order to fully exploit Fred's potential, we want to grow within Germany and across national borders. We want to secure and further expand a pioneering position in the augmented intelligence segment.

What is your dream collaboration?

We are always looking for customers and technology partners who want to use our solution.

If your startup were a song, what would it be?

"You'll never walk alone" would be fitting, as we believe in the power of networks and their synergies.

We wish the entire team at Brain4Data continued success and are pleased to have been given an insight into another Saarland startup success story!
